Emmaus Road Ministries are based in Auckland under the direction of Graeme and Trudy Carle. We chose the name from Luke 24:13-32 because we love the way Jesus works - on the very day He was resurrected from the dead, there was no fanfare, no big-noting, just a walk along a country road with a couple of very ordinary, garden-type variety disciples like us. As they walked, He took them through one of the most profound Bible studies in the history of the world until they finally got it and their hearts were burning within them.

In a nutshell, we're learners/followers of Jesus of Nazareth, endeavouring to live life to the full and to see heaven come to earth. This means we often end up challenging the, "normal" way we all do stuff, as peaceably and lovingly as we know how, but with the courage of our convictions, that some might find Him and those who have may get to know Him better.
For the last couple of years we have been busy settling into and consolidating a new role as senior leaders of an inner city church so Emmaus Road has had to take a back-seat for a season. Now we are re-opening, so to speak, and on this site we hope you'll find some great reads, we'll connect you to some fantastic people and ministries, and there will be free stuff too, articles and graphics that you can cart off as you please.
